Tirupati News: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has accused the previous YSRCP government of "desecrating" the sacred Tirumala temple. Chandrababu, speaking at an NDA MLAs' meeting held in Amravati, criticised the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government for allegedly compromising the sanctity of the famed Tirumala Laddu prasadam. He claimed that during Jagan's tenure, the revered Tirumala laddus, considered highly sacred by devotees, were prepared using animal fat instead of pure ghee.
"The previous government desecrated Tirumala. Even the sacred Laddu prasadam was adulterated with animal fat instead of using pure cow ghee," Chandrababu alleged, as per ABP Desam. He claimed that under YSRCP's rule, the prasadam at the temple was prepared with substandard ingredients. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister added that since coming to power, his party has restored the quality of the prasadam, ensuring that only pure materials are used.

Chandrababu Naidu Vowed To 'Cleanse' Tirupati-Tirumala Administration
Previously, in June, Chandrababu made a pilgrimage to the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala shortly after his swearing-in as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister for the fourth time. Following his oath-taking in Vijayawada, he offered prayers at the temple and had vowed to "cleanse" the Tirupati-Tirumala administration, which is overseen by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
Addressing the media, Chandrababu had said, "I will start the purification of governance from Tirumala. Defiling Tirumala is not acceptable. Only the chanting of Govinda's name will remain in Tirumala", as quoted by India Today
The Chief Minister further alleged that the previous state government had "commercialised" the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, compromising the spiritual integrity of the site. "Prasadam should be of good quality, rates shouldn't be increased, and tickets for 'Darshan' should not be sold in the black market. They turned this religious place into the centre of marijuana, liquor, and non-vegetarian food. Cleansing will start from TTD," Chandrababu affirmed back in June.
He had stressed his commitment to eliminating corruption and upholding 'Hindu Dharma' in Tirumala, promising that his government would take all necessary steps to protect the sanctity of the temple.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is yet to respond to Chandrababu Naidu's allegation of animal fat being used at Tirumala temple instead of pure ghee.
