Akhilesh Yadav News: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has questioned the police encounter of Mangesh Yadav, who was accused of being involved in a robbery in Sultanpur. The SP president called it a fake encounter. He said Mangesh was killed because of his caste and his links to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.
Akhilesh Yadav wrote on X: "It seems that the ruling party had connections with the people involved in the Sultanpur robbery. That is why before the fake encounter, the 'main accused' was contacted and made to surrender. Other accused were shot only in their legs and the killing was based on 'caste'."
On August 28, Bharat Jewelers in Sultanpur was robbed of Rs 1.5 crore. The police had arrested three accused, while Mangesh Yadav, a fugitive with a Rs 1 lakh reward, was killed in a police encounter on Thursday morning. This encounter took place on the Kotwali Dehat Hanumangunj bypass.
Akhilesh Yadav further said: 'When the main accused had surrendered, all the looted goods should also be returned completely and the government should pay compensation. It takes a long time to recover from the mental trauma caused by such incidents, which leads to loss of business, which the government should compensate for.
The SP president said that the solution for crimes is not fake encounters, but real law and order. "The BJP's rule has been a golden age for criminals. Until the pressure and anger of the people reaches its peak, the work of sharing the loot will continue. When it seems that the people are getting agitated, a show is made by effecting fake encounters. People understand everything," he said.
