Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Yadav on Wednesday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the probe into land for jobs scam.

The ED summon comes after Lalu's wife and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and his son Tej Pratap Yadav appeared before the ED for questioning in the case.

As Lalu Prasad Yadav arrived at the ED office in Patna, a large number of RJD workers gathered on the streets near the central agency's office to showcase support for him. Lalu was accompanied by his daughter Misa Bharti to the ED office today.

While the RJD supremo was being questioned in the case, a video came out which showed the officials sending 'Sattu' inside the ED office.

Earlier this month, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) concluded its arguments on charges against former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav, former Minister Prem Chand Gupta, and other accused in the case.

Meanwhile, RJD supporters have been protesting outside the ED office in the Bihar capital.

On Tuesday, Prasad's wife Rabri Devi and elder son Tej Pratap Yadav, who have both been named as co-accused in the case, were questioned for four and four-and-a-half hours respectively.

Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is also named as an accused in the case, claimed that his name was dragged into the matter since he was involved in politics.

"The more we are harassed, the stronger we shall become. Of course, the case is politically motivated. Had I not been in politics, I would not have been dragged into this. I had predicted after the Delhi assembly elections that now the agencies will turn their gaze towards Bihar," Tejashwi said.

The allleged land-for-jobs scam pertains to the period when the RJD chief was the Railway Minister in the first term of the Congress-led UPA government.
