RG Kar Latest News: The CBI has filed the first FIR in the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital corruption case during the tenure of former principal Sandip Ghosh. The CBI took over the case after the Calcutta High Court ordered the Central Agency to take over the case. The CBI received all the documents in the corruption case from the state government's Special Investigation Team on Saturday morning.


CBI officers and the agency's lawyer submitted a copy of the FIR to the Chief Judicial magistrate in Alipore Court. The allegations against Sandip Ghosh include those involving alleged trafficking of unclaimed bodies. Akhtar Ali, former Deputy Superintendent of RG Kar Medical College, approached the High Court on Wednesday and pleaded that the probe into the graft allegations against Sandeep Ghosh be handed over to the Enforcement Directorate. Ali also alleged that the rape & murder accused, Sanjay Roy, was part of the security of the former principal. Ali also stated that Ghosh was engaged in trafficking biomedical waste and medical supplies to Bangladesh.

CBI Conducts Polygraph Test On Sandip Ghosh


Sandip Ghosh was subjected to a polygraph test on Saturday, along with Sanjay Roy, the main accused in the Kolkata doctor rape and death case. Sanjay Roy underwent the test in prison, while Sandip Ghosh appeared for the CBI's office in Kolkata. Four other doctors and a civic volunteer, who were on duty on the night of the incident also took the test at the CBI's office.

Sanjay Roy's Bike Seized


The CBI on Saturday evening seized Sanjay's bike and took it to the agency's office. Sanjay Roy, the accused in the Kolkata doctor's rape-murder case, arrived at the hospital on this bike. Later, he returned by the same bike after the crime.


The bike has KP (Kolkata Police) written on it. Sanjay Roy was a civic volunteer, but would allegedly intimidate people by claiming to be a policeman.
