Vehicles passing through the toll at Didarganj on the Patna-Bakhtiyarpur stretch of NH-30 will have to pay more toll from April 1. The toll will be raised on the 181.3 km long four-lane highway between Patna and Bakhtiyarpur on National Highway No. 30 in Bihar for all vehicles by 3% to 3.5%.
Toll plaza manager Prabhakar Singh said as per the order of the National Highway Authority, the facility will be available for Rs 140 for light vehicles and Rs 210 for 24 hours. Monthly pass can be bought for Rs 4,615. Similarly, Rs 210 will be charged for light commercial vehicles, Rs 315 for 24 hours. These vehicles can avail themselves of a monthly pass for Rs 7,400.
Trucks and buses will have to pay Rs 425 for a one-time pass, Rs 635 for 24 hours, and Rs 14,115 for a monthly pass. Similarly, the tax for heavy machinery and vehicles with three to six axles will be Rs 640, Rs 960 for 24 hours and Rs 21,340 per month.
Vehicle owners living within a radius of 20 km of the toll area will also have to pay a monthly toll of Rs 350.
Toll Hiked In 2024
Singh also said that all types of government vehicles, ambulances, army vehicles, hearse vehicles, postal department vehicles, police vehicles, etc would be exempt from paying the toll. The toll at the plaza was increased by about 2.5% in 2024 as well.
Currently, about 17,000-19,000 small and large vehicles pass through this toll daily. When the wedding season starts, the number of vehicles increases to about 20,000.
