Three people lost their lives while in the Goregaon area of Mumbai's Aarey Colony after their bike crashed into a pole near Munda Chowk. Two of the victims died at the scene, while the third succumbed to injuries during treatment at the hospital.


The Aarey Police have registered a case under Accidental Death Report (ADR) and have launched an investigation, according to Mumbai Police.

As per the report of Hindustan Times, the deceased has been identified as Radheyshyam Davande, 34, the rider, and Vivek Rajbhar, 24, Ritesh Salvi, 27, pillion. All are residents of Unit 22 in Aarey Colony.


Police officials stated that the men were believed to be drunk at the time of the accident and were unsure if they were wearing helmets. The three were on their way from Powai to Marol for dinner on a Bajaj Dominar 400, which Davande had recently purchased.

“They were taken to Hinduhrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Medical College (HBTMC) in Jogeshwari, where Davande and Rajbhar were pronounced dead on arrival. Salvi succumbed to his injuries after being admitted,” said Jagdish Deshmukhe, senior police inspector of Aarey police station.


Police reported that Davande was married with two children, a boy and a girl. His wife had gone to her father’s house in Powai. The men worked as labourers at the underground metro site in Aarey. Friday was their first day at work, and after meeting, they drank alcohol and decided to go to Marol for dinner.








“We are awaiting medical reports. It is suspected they were drunk, but the reports will confirm the details. Davande was driving, and they were riding triple. We are in the process of registering an offence. Salvi and Rajbhar were not yet married,” said Deshmukhe.
