Agra Thief Flees With Bike On Pretext Of Test Drive, Leaves Behind Local Tea Seller Posing As 'Father'
ACP Mayank Tiwari confirmed that the stolen bike was recovered from his possession and further legal actions are underway against the accused.
A young man made the tea seller his father and stole the bike from a showroom on the pretext of a test drive in the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh on November 3. The police have since arrested the suspect.
ACP Mayank Tiwari explained that the young man gained the trust of the showroom staff by claiming the tea seller was his father. He then took off with the bike under the guise of a test drive, and did't returned. This left the staff shocked when they discovered the deception.
Prior to the theft, the man had visited the showroom, chosen a bike priced at one lakh rupees, and expressed interest in purchasing it. Later, he returned with the tea seller, introducing him to the staff as his father. After finalising the deal, he requested a test drive.

However, when he didn’t return for a long time, the staff questioned the man who had come with him as a father. The staff discovered that he barely knew the suspect. The tea seller revealed that the young man was merely a customer who occasionally visited his shop for tea.
