However, weather conditions varied across the region on Saturday. While some areas experienced heavy rainfall, bringing much-needed relief, others battled intense heat and humidity.

Rain To Continue In Phases Till June 27: IMD

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), intermittent rain is expected across parts of Delhi-NCR throughout the day. Some areas may witness heavy showers, while others might only see drizzles. This pattern is likely to continue on and off until June 27.

The IMD's latest weather forecast for Sunday and Monday read: "Generally cloudy sky. Moderate to heavy rain/ thunderstorm/ lightning with gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) temporarily reaching 50 kmph during thunderstorm."

Monsoon Likely To Arrive In 1-2 Days

The IMD also forecasts the arrival of the southwest monsoon in Delhi-NCR within the next one to two days. If it arrives as expected, the coming days could bring cooler and more comfortable weather. That said, rainfall distribution remains uneven, while areas like Lajpat Nagar saw significant rainfall, others like India Gate and Patparganj received only minimal showers.

Mixed Weather Conditions in Noida, Ghaziabad, And Gurugram

A similar trend is visible in cities like Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram, where weather conditions have been inconsistent. Some areas saw heavy downpours, while others remained largely dry or experienced only light rain. Despite the fluctuations, maximum temperatures hovered around 33°C to 34°C, offering partial relief from the heat.

Possibility of Dust Storms In Some Parts

The IMD has also issued a warning for possible dust storms in certain parts of the region today. Cloud cover remains widespread across the NCR, accompanied by cool breezes and light rain. By evening, conditions are expected to become even more pleasant, continuing to provide a much-needed break from the scorching summer heat.
