Delhi: A 17-year-old girl was slapped and thrown off a roof from the terrace of a single-storey house by a man during a heated argument, allegedly over a property dispute.The incident occurred in Rohini's Aman Vihar area and the man involved is said to be her neighbour. Some media reports stated that the man is a builder.


A purported video of the incident surfaced online, wherein the man and the girl can be seen arguing on the tearrace of the building. 


In the video, the man can be seen threatening to hit the girl, following which he goes ahead and actually slaps her as the argument heats up. The girl ended up falling off the roof on the road since there was no boundary wall present.


After falling, she began crying and the people gathered at the spot got infuriated over the man's conduct, resulting in a heated exchange with him.






According to the police, the incident occurred at Karan Vihar in Kirari Suleman Nagar on Thursday at 4 PM, news agency PTI reported.


Multiple Teams Formed To Nab Absconding Accused


"Preliminary investigation has revealed that there was a dispute between the parties over issue of property," a police officer said.


Upon reaching the spot, the police discovered that the victim had been shifted to MGM Hospital, following which the team reached the hospital to obtain the Medico-Legal Certificate of the victim. Her statement was also recorded.


Based on the victim's statement, a case under sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 126(2) (wrongful restraint) and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered against the accused, who is identified as Munish alias Monu.


The officer said "multiple" teams have been constituted to nab the accused who is on the run, PTI reported.


Further investigations in the matter are underway.
