Mother Murders 6-Day-Old Girl In Delhi's Khyala

In a shocking incident, a 6-day-old girl was murdered by her own mother. The incident occurred in Delhi's Khyala area early morning on Saturday.

The Police Control Room had received a missing complaint of a newborn baby girl at around 5:30 AM, following which the cops spoke to 28-year-old Shivani, the girl's mother. Shivani said that she had returned from her parent's home after being discharged from the hospital.

She stated that she had woken up at 4:30 AM when she found the baby girl was missing. As the police began the probe to find the newborn, Shivani requested that she be allowed to go to the hospital to get her stitches removed.

Meanwhile, the police, during the search, found a bag on th roof of an adjacent house. The missing newborn girl was found inside that bag. The police rushed the baby to the hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The police became suspicious of Shivani's behaviour and thus sent teams to find her. She was then interrogated about the incident and confessed to the crime, saying that she had killed her daughter as she could not bear the social stigma of not being able to bear a son. A murder case has been registered against her as police await the autopsy report to verify her claims.
