Dehradun News: A row was triggered after a viral video showed a fire brigade vehicle filling a water tank at the residence, allegedly of an Indian Police Services officer. A nameplate appears outside the house in the video, which shows the name of IPS officer Archana Tygai.

The purported video was shot on East Canal Road in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

In the video, a long pipe connected to the fire brigade of the Uttarakhand fire services from one end could be seen stretching inside the IPS officer's house.

Some people in the video could be heard objecting to the purported act with one of them asking what would happen if a fire broke out somewhere.

Responding to the viral video, Additional Director General of Police Amit Sinha said that an investigation is underway to determine how the fire brigade vehicle ended up supplying water to the bureaucrat's house, reported India Today.

He also cautioned that it was too early to conclude and added that the video's authenticity is being verified.

However, Chief Fire Officer Vansh Bahadur Yadav said that the incident took place on June 15 after a report of an LPG leak at the residence was received. The IPS officer's parents were at the house during the incident, the report added.

The viral video has raised several questions on social media as one user took a jibe saying the IPS officer lives in a royal style.

Archana Tyagi is a 1993 batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre and hails from Dehradun. She has earned a reputation as a 'supercop' and was the inspiration behind the 2019 Rani Mukerji starrer film 'Mardaani 2' where the actor portrayed a character based on Tyagi.
