Bengaluru: A 24-year-old woman from Bihar was stabbed to death by a man at her paying guest accomodation at Koramangala on July 23. The killer is on the run and efforts are on to nab him. Meanwhile, the chilling CCTV footage of the entire incident has emerged two days after the murder, showing the young woman being murdered mercilessly as she cries for help.
The deceased, identified as Kriti Kumari, was killed by the assailant who sneaked in at night and dragged her in the corridor before stabbing her multiple times. The incident allegedly happened on July 23 between 11:10 and 11:30 PM, as shown in the CCTV footage.
Police sources told news agency PTI that the victim was staying with another woman.
A few days ago, her roommate had moved out of the paying guest accommodation to stay with her boyfriend.
However she had returned on July 23 to the PG to stay with Kriti Kumari.
As per PTI's report, it is being suspected that assailant had doubts that Kriti Kumari had played a part in changing her roommate's (his girlfriend) mind to return to her PG.
In the CCTV footage, the man can be seen walking into the corridor of the PG with a polythene bag in his hand. He then knocks on the door and drags the victim out.
Even though she tried to resist the attack she was overpowered by the murderer, who kept stabbing her before slitting her throat and running away.
After hearing loud noises, other women living at the accomodation as paying guests came running. They can be seen calling for help, but failed to save Kumari.
