Agra: A 24-year-old man in Uttar Pradesh's Agra claimed that he was saved by stray dogs after being buried alive. The man was allegedly thrashed, strangled, and buried alive by four men over a land dispute.


On July 18, the victim, Roop Kishore or Happy claimed that he was assaulted by four men, identified as, Ankit, Gaurav, Karan and Akash in Agra's Artoni area. After assaulting him, the accused strangled him and later buried him on their farm, assuming he had died from the attack, as stated in the victim's FIR, NDTV reported.


However, despite being buried, Roop Kishore miraculously survived.


Kishore claimed that a pack of stray dogs dug up the spot where he was buried. They started biting his exposed flesh, which led him to regain consciousness.


Subsequently, Kishore woke up and old managed to walk out of the area to a nearby village. There, he was identified by some locals, who took him to a hospital for treatment. 


As per the victim's mother, the men had forcibly taken Kishore from home and attacked him brutally.


The police told NDTV that a thorough investigation is underway and the efforts to catch the four accused, who are currently absconding are also on.


 Neeraj Sharma, Station House Officer (SHO) of the Sikandra Police Station, said that an FIR has been lodged against the accused men, India Today reported.


In another similar incident, a dog named Alex saved the life of a 17-year-old boy by waking up his parents after he suffered a stroke.


The dog began jumping on Gabriel's parents' bed and pawing at the to wake them up. They woke up and reluctantly followed it to their son's bedroom. As they entered the room they saw that their son was having a stroke and couldn't move.


He was then rushed to a hosiptal immediately and was saved due to Alex's actions.
