A senior woman cop went undercover disguised as a tourist and travelled alone in an auto late at night to test the safety of women in Uttar Pradesh's Agra. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sukanya Sharma, as part of her secret operation, also posed as a victim and dialed 112 to assess the emergency response security support system in the city.
The 33-year-old senior cop, dressed in a plain white shirt and black jeans, stood outside the Agra Cantt Railway Station and called the police, saying that needed help as it was late and she felt unsafe and scared due to the deserted road.
She even visited several sensitive locations, including Agra Cantt Railway Station, MG Road, and Sadar Bazar, NDTV reported.
Agra Police announced her operation on the social media platform X, saying, "Sukanya Sharma, dressed in plain clothes, travelled alone in an auto to visit and inspect crowded and sensitive areas. She tested the emergency security system by acting as a victim and using UP112 (the emergency helpline) to assess its effectiveness."

The helpline operator instructed her to wait at a safe place and asked her about her location. Shortly after, she got a call from the women's patrolling team, who told her that a team was on its way to pick her up.
However, ACP Sharma asked them not to come and revealed who she was. She told them that she was testing the emergency response system and that they had successfully passed the response test.
Continuing her operation, the cop took an auto to check the women's safety in the city at night. She did not disclose her identity and boarded the auto after discussing the fare.
During the ride, she also spoke to the auto driver to know about women's safety in Agra. The driver then told her that the police had verified him, and that he would soon be required to wear a uniform while driving the auto.
He safely dropped her off at her location, successfully clearing the safety test.
