Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the three-day Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 in Lucknow today at 10 AM. The summit will end on February 12. The mega event is expected to witness the presence of several ministers of the Union and the state government and a host of leading industrialists.
Modi will also inaugurate Global Trade Show to be held during the Summit. More than 300 renowned industrialists are expected to participate. The mega event aims to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, academia, think tanks, and leaders from across the world to collectively explore business opportunities and forge partnerships.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said the whole world will see a new story of the state's development on the day. "The whole world will see a new story of UP's development on Friday at the GIS 2023 to be held in the capital's Vrindavan. Within the state, there are innumerable investment opportunities," Yogi said. The chief minister, who inaugurated various projects near Amausi Airport said the inauguration of projects worth 159 crores related to the capital a day earlier bears witness to this.
All delegates, investors, and participants in Global Investors Summit and G20 meeting in Lucknow will go through an RT-PCR Covid test, according to chief medical officer Manoj Agarwal.
“We've installed 24x7 running booths for RT-PCR in the district, including airports. Besides this, our mobile teams are placed to conduct the Covid test of the delegates and the open Covid-testing booths are open for everyone, participating in the events,” Agarwal told news agency ANI.
Investor UP 2.0 is a comprehensive, investor-centric, and service-oriented investment ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh that endeavors to deliver relevant, well-defined, standardized services to investors, said an official statement according to the news agency ANI.
Events lined up for UP Global Investor 2.0 Summit
Modi will address industrialists attending the Summit from abroad, India before inaugurating the global event. There will be a total of 34 sessions during the three-day summit. Of these, 10 sessions will be on the first day, 13 on the second, and 11 on the last day.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and state Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi including industrialists Mukesh Ambani, K Chandrasekaran, Kumar Mangalam Birla and Anand Mahindra will address the inaugural session of the summit.
Later, the first day of the summit will see a discussion on 'UP Designing and Manufacturing in India for the World' with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav as the chief guest.
On Day 2, a session on 'UP is Open for Business Providing New Opportunities for MSMEs and Co-operatives' will be held. The session will be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the chief guest. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present at the session.
Among several other sessions lined up on the last day, one of the sessions on 'UP Opportunities in Excise and Sugar Industry' will be attended by Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal. There will be a session on E-mobility, and a seminar on Vehicle and Future Mobility in Vashishtha Hall which will be addressed by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
The summit will also witness a bankers' roundtable on UP's march towards a one trillion dollar economy. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will attend the roundtable. The chief guest at the closing ceremony will be President Droupadi Murmu.
