New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday stated that the Economic Survey 2022-23 provides a comprehensive analysis of India's growth trajectory and the global optimism regarding the nation.

Modi tweeted, "The Economic Survey presents a comprehensive analysis of India's growth trajectory including the global optimism towards our nation, focus on infra, growth in agriculture, industries and emphasis on futuristic sectors."

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also praised the Economic Survey 2023 and stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a "seasoned captain," has successfully guided the economy through the "rocky waters" of the Covid pandemic.

"#EconomicSurvey2023 reaffirms that a seasoned captain PM @narendramodi has smoothly navigated the economy through the rocky waters of the pandemic. When the world is suffering a slowdown, growth and optimism in all sectors show that India is set to emerge as a global superpower,” Shah tweeted.

According to the Economic Survey, India's economy is expected to slow to 6.5% in the fiscal year that begins in April. However, the country will continue to be the major economy with the fastest rate of growth in the world because it has done a better job of coping with the extraordinary set of challenges that the world has faced.

The Economic Survey is prepared by Chief Economic Adviser (CEA) V Anantha Nageswaran. The Economic Survey gives a detailed account of the country's economic performance during the fiscal gone by and provides key data on macroeconomic indicators such as inflation, foreign exchange reserves, and the economic growth rate scenario.
