Market Sentiment: Asian stock markets began Wednesday on a positive note, however investors remained cautiously optimistic. The US and UK interest rates are expected to remain under watch. 

 

On Wednesday, the indices started trading on a positive note as they registered gains in the pre-opening market hour. As of 9:16 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex traded above the 74K mark at 74,036.85, climbing almost 100 points, while the NSE Nifty50 inched ahead by 27 points to touch 22,555.65.

 

As the market opened, the indices rallied ahead. As of 9:30 AM, the 30-share Sensex climbed more than 150 points to reach 74,105.13, while the Nifty clocked gains of over 30 points to touch 22,561.75.

 

The key equity benchmark indices closed trading on a flat note on Tuesday amidst volatilty and foreign fund outflows. The Sensex index slipped over 50 points to end trading at 73,953.31, while the Nifty settled for the day at 22,529.05, logging gains of 27 points.

The investors are expected to keenly observe the stock market movement of firms like BHEL, Galaxy Surfactants, Sheela Foam, GSFC, Religare, Laxmi Organic Industries, Dollar Industries, GSFC, JK Tyre, Metropolis Health, Fiem Industries, Action Construction, Hindustan Foods, Eris Lifesciences, Hitachi Energy, IRCON. All these companies reported their fourth quarter earnings for the 2023-24 fiscal year (FY24) on Tuesday.
