Close on his heels is Wipro's Azim Premji, who holds the second spot with a fortune of Rs 2.02 lakh crore. N R Narayana Murthy, the co-founder of Infosys, rounds out the top three with a net worth of Rs 31,421 crore.

In India's real estate sector, DLF's K P Singh has claimed the title of the richest, amassing Rs 1.59 lakh crore. Following him is Macrotech Developers' Mangal Prabhat Lodha, who ranks second with Rs 96,556 crore. These figures highlight the significant fortunes in India's booming real estate market.

Zoho Founders Lead the Pack

The Fortune-Waterfield billionaire club saw several new entrants this year, with Zoho Corporation's Sridhar Vembu, Sekar Vembu, and Radha Vembu taking the top spot among debutants, boasting a combined net worth of Rs 45,955 crore. Vinod Kumar Agarwal of Agarwal Coal Corporation follows at the second position with Rs 22,789 crore, while Kushal Narendra Desai and Chaitanya Narendra Desai of Apar Industries secure the third spot with Rs 19,538 crore.

Wealth Decline

Cyrus Poonawalla Suffers Major Setback

Serum Institute of India's Cyrus Poonawalla experienced the largest decline in wealth within the billionaire club, with his net worth now at Rs 1.71 lakh crore, reflecting significant losses over the past year. Despite this, he remains one of the wealthiest individuals in the country, underscoring the volatility in the pharmaceutical sector.

These rankings showcase the continued dominance of India's IT, real estate, and pharmaceutical sectors in shaping the nation's wealth landscape.
