How Did Kabosu Become Famous

Kabosu, the dog behind the famous "Doge" meme, inspired the creation of the cryptocurrency Dogecoin, initially intended as a joke, but leaving a lasting impression on fans worldwide. Dogecoin's success led to the emergence of other dog-themed tokens like Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Floki (FLOKI), now significant players in the cryptocurrency industry.

Kabosu's owner announced in a blog post that a “farewell party for Kabo-chan” would be held on Sunday, May 26, at Flower Kaori in Kotsu no Mori, Narita City, from 1 pm to 4 pm.

The owner also shared that the night before Kabosu passed away, she “ate her rice and drank plenty of water, as usual.” Kabosu died peacefully and “quietly” in her sleep the following day, with her owner gently stroking her.

In the blog post, the owner revealed that Kabosu “was the happiest dog in the world” and they felt like they were the “happiest person to have her.” Even now, the owner believes “she is smiling, wagging her tail and staying close to them.”

Back in 2022, Kabosu was diagnosed with leukaemia and liver disease.
