Bank Holidays in May 2024: During the month of May, banks are scheduled to remain closed for a total of 14 days due to both national and regional holidays.
Customers should prioritise and schedule their bank related errands and appointments in the month keeping in mind the bank holidays. The full list of these holidays is given below. The banks finalise these holidays on the basis of festivals, region-based celebrations, along with general weekend holidays.
The general weekend offs are applicable across all banks and branches in the country. The bank holidays overall include festivals, national holidays, weekend leaves such as second and fourth Saturday, and all Sundays.
In May, bank employees in Srinagar will enjoy a long weekend owing to the second Saturday, Sunday, and Lok Sabha elections leave.
