New Delhi: Maruti has revealed that the new Baleno would be getting a heads-up display and also would be getting a petrol engine with an idle start/stop function.
While bookings have started, the launch of the car will take place towards the end of this month. We expect the new Baleno to be launched around the 23rd of this month.
The new Baleno gets a new look including design details like a bigger grille, new headlamps plus a new alloy wheel design while the rear styling is also tweaked.

To be sold via Nexa dealerships, the new Baleno would also get an all-new interior with a bigger touchscreen plus new features like the earlier mentioned heads-up display. The HUD will display the speedometer, climate control, etc while being a feature seen on most luxury cars along with being a segment-first feature.
The infotainment system will also get wireless smartphone connectivity, six airbags, rearview camera, cruise control, and more.
The 1.2l petrol will get a mild-hybrid feature with start/stop function while the other standard 1.2l petrol will be paired to an AMT gearbox instead of a CVT found with the current Baleno. A 5-speed manual would be standard for all versions.
The Baleno has been a strong seller for Maruti and the new one with extra features like six airbags would be a major attraction while giving strict competition to the current line-up of premium hatchbacks.
We will be driving the new Baleno soon so stay tuned for a review of this new premium hatchback with more details as and when we get it.
