New Delhi: MG ZS EV in its facelifted form is launching in a few days' time towards the end of the month. This is a heavily updated ZS EV and gets many styling changes along with feature upgrades.

However, it will also get a bigger battery pack which will make it have a longer range per charge. The ZS EV is already one of the EVs with the highest range in India with the current ZS EV having a range of 419km. With a bigger battery pack, expect the range to be closer to 500km.

The new ZS EV with these images can be seen to have a big change in design terms. The new face has a front-covered grill and the charging socket is now placed to the left of the MG logo. There are new 17-inch alloy wheels as well.

There are also new LED headlamps, bumpers, and new LED tail lamps. The total changes do make the ZS EV more distinctive and show its EV credentials a bit more boldly.

The interiors have been slightly updated while the Astor-like AI assistant is not seen while the upholstery seems like an all-black layout similar to the current ZS.

In terms of overall features, ADAS and a 360-degree camera would be big additions along with a new instrument cluster which is digital in place of analog. Other premium features like a sunroof are also there.

We expect a price hike considering the big changes but the expected premium would be justified over the new features and expected enhanced range. The ZS has sold nearly 4,000 units in two years of it being on sale while these upgrades will make it more desirable.

With MG developing a compact EV SUV for India, the ZS will take a more premium route while it will not have any rivals in India at this price point.
