Mercedes-Benz has updated its popular models including the C-Class and GLC with various updates with the C-Class especially getting a new petrol powertrain. The new C300 AMG Line replaces the earlier C300d and this time due to market preferences shifting to petrol, the C300 AMG Line gets a 1999cc 4-cylinder petrol engine developing 258hp which does 0-100kmph in 6.0s.


This engine comes with an integrated starter-alternator (ISG) which is combined with an internal combustion engine while power goes up to 17 kW and another 205 Nm of extra torque. The C 300 engine also gets an overboost function.

Other changes include a new Patagonia red bright and Sodalite Blue shades for the C300. The AMG Line also means a sportier look while other features include a Burmester 3D surround sound, DIGITAL LIGHTS, KEYLESS-GO comfort package and an Augmented reality navigation and Blind spot assist.


In the rest of the C-Class range, the C 200 and C 220d also now get heated/cooled ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, fast-charging USB-C ports, digital key handover and adaptive high beam assist. Further a new color called Sodalite Blue replaces the Cavansite Blue.


The new GLC meanwhile for the 2024 updates gets heated/cooled  climatised front seats along with 9 airbags.


Both the GLC and the C-Class are some of the most popular Mercedes cars and in terms of prices, the 2024 C 200 is Rs 61.85 lakhs, 2024 C 220 d meanwhile is Rs 62.85 lakhs and New C 300 is Rs 69 lakhs (all prices India ex-showroom). Prices for GLC on the other hand start from Rs 75.90 lakh for the 2024 GLC 300 4MATIC and Rs 76.90 lakhs for the GLC 220d 4MATIC (all-India ex-showroom).
