The Invicto and Hycross are other examples of the recent Toyota/Maruti Suzuki badged cars but while we have seen the Grand Vitara and the Hyryder have certain differences, the Invicto will have less. While indeed the Invicto is a Hycross with a Maruti badge, there are some subtle differences. The biggest change is from the front where the Invicto has a slight grille and a large Maruti Suzuki logo with a look. While the grille pattern is the same, the logo is joined by two thick chrome slats while the lighting signature carries the Nexa DRL as seen on the Grand Vitara plus Baleno.

The lower half of the front bumper gets a new skid plate design too. Elsewhere, you will see new alloy wheels while the rear styling gets a different tail-light design in comparison to the Hycross. Inside, there is an all-black look to the Invicto cabin which is similar to the Grand Vitara with premium Nexa cars having an all-black look. This is different from the Hycross while the centre console comes finished in a copper shade.

The same look is carried over to the door pads and the aircon vents too. Expect the same features lost largely with a panoramic sunroof and captain seats for the second row. However, the Invicto might not get the ADAS features seen on the Hycross.

Also, unlike the Hycross, there would be fewer variants on offer with only a hybrid powertrain with the Invicto. Hence, the Invicto will start at a higher price point. However, Maruti Suzuki is looking to increase Nexa by attracting more premium buyers while outright volumes like its other cars may not be a priority.

We will know more about the Invicto soon and the prices also so stay tuned.
