Muslims across India are celebrating Eid-ul-Adha or Bakrid and devotees were seen offering prayers early morning on Thursday. Meanwhile, security has been tightened in Delhi to ensure a safe environment. Devotees across the country gathered at different mosques on the occasion of Eid-Al-Adha. People gathered at a Dargah in Mumbai, outside Fatehpuri Masjid and Jama Masjid in Delhi to offer namaz.
In Delhi, devotees were seen offering prayers early in the morning outside Jama Masjid.
Prayers were offered amid tight security outside of Jama Masjid. Deputy Commissoner of Police (DCP) Central, Sanjay Kumar Sain told ANI, "Security of the people is our top priority and with the help of MCD, we are ensuring that the area is clean and hygienic. Around 1,000 district police personnel are present here. Outside force is also supporting us".
People had also gathered outside the Fatepuri Dargah in the national capital to offer their Eid prayers.
Similarly, people offered prayers at Dargah in Mumbai.
In Bhopal, prayers were offered in Jama Masjid.
People were also seen greeting each other on the occassion by hugging and wishing Eid Mubarak.
