Celebrating Ganesh Utsav for ten days involves performing proper worship and rituals, which are believed to lead to the fulfillment of one's wishes. Additionally, there is a mythological story that Sage Vyasa invited Ganesha to transcribe the Mahabharata. Ganesha wrote continuously for ten days while Sage Vyasa recited, resulting in a layer of dust on Ganesha. After the completion of this task, Ganesha bathed in the Saraswati River on the tenth day, leading to the tradition of celebrating Ganesh Utsav for ten days.
