Onam 2023 Date And Timings:


Onam is a Hindu festival celebrated by the people of Kerala. The date of Onam is determined by the Solar Calendar. Onam is observed during the month of Chingam on the Malayalam Solar Calendar. In various solar calendars, Chingam month is known as Simha month, while in the Tamil calendar, it is known as Avani month. Onam is celebrated on the day when Nakshatra Thiruvonam prevails in the month of Chingam. In some Hindu calendars, Thiruvonam Nakshatra is known as Shravana.


Onam will begin on August 20, with Atham and will conclude with Thiruvonam. Thiruvonam marks the end of the Onam celebration, This year it falls on Tuesday, August 29, 2023
