Tirupathi: The welfare schemes being initiated by the YS Jagan government are being hailed by experts as they are aimed for upliftment the of people. The schemes are being hailed to an extent that a YSRCP MLA built a temple-cum-museum for the party chief and the CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. The temple is located near Tirupati for Andhra Pradesh and it was built at a cost of Rs 2 crore.


Madhusudhan Reddy Biyyapu, MLA from Srikalahasti, has built a museum-cum-temple near Tirupati in Chittoor district. The temple is built to display the nine welfare schemes being implemented in Andhra Pradesh and has a glass hall with Navaratna. A glass hall was built in the temple and a statue of the former Chief Minister YSR was installed in the premises.


The temple has been designed by a few experts from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The amount used for building of the temple was pooled in by the party leaders. Initially, the estimated cost of temple was around Rs 10 lakh to build. Then the cost increased to about Rs 2 crore. Also, it is planned to start the Jagannath Housing Colony built behind this temple.

The government is determined to uplift the poor by providing financial assistance and livelihood support through the Navaratna schemes. Therefore, the MLA said that the temple was named as "Navarathanlu".


The temple has nine pillars. Each pillar depicts the welfare schemes introduced by the Chief Minister himself. The MLA spent about 75 per cent of his funds and received the balance from the party and built the temple. Visitors to the temple are provided with handwritten copies of the welfare schemes done by Jaganmohan Reddy.


A Statue of Jagan Mohan Reddy and the Navaratna schemes are installed. Besides, YS Jagan's statue, his family photos were also of the chief's family members are also placed. Instead of giving money and other valuables in the piggy bank in this temple, people can give their requests and grievances as petitions.


Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy, Pedirerri Ramachandra Reddy and Mithun Reddy inaugurated the temple on Monday. It is soon to be dedicated to YSR Congress President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
