In a tragic incident, three died after seven students, went for a vacation to Suryalanka beach in Andhra Pradesh's Bapatla. The victims were from Vijayawada. While bathing in the sea, the students went missing as a strong wave pulled them into the sea.


Upon receiving the information, the police were deployed and they conducted a search operation. Swimmers rescued two students and brought them back to the shore. Three dead bodies have been recovered, and two people are still missing. 


The police have identified the deceased as Sidhu, Abhi and Sai Madhu from Vijayawada. Full details of this accident are yet to be known. 


Earlier, six people drowned in the Kollidam River while they were taking bath after paying a visit to a church at Poondi in Thanjavur district of Tamilnadu on Monday. All six people were on a pilgrimage, and three were siblings. While the body of four people was recovered on Monday, two people still remain missing.

According to a report in the Times of India, three siblings were identified as D Charles, D Prithviraj and D Davidraj. The three others were identified as Pravinraj, D Issac and S Kermas. Of the six people, four bodies were recovered and the two people–D Issac and S Kermas–still remain missing. 


On Sunday, nearly 40 pilgrims from Thoothukudi visited the basilica in Thanjavur. While the eight pilgrims were taking a dip, due to high current they lost balance. They tried to stay afloat but the currents began to take them in. One of them alone managed to swim and reached the shore.
