Earlier, TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh on Thursday claimed that there has been a conspiracy hatched to end Naidu's life in jail.

Nara Lokesh's statement came in the wake of a remand prisoner allegedly succumbing to dengue fever in Rajamahendravaram Central Prison, where TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is currently lodged.

In a post on X, Lokesh said, "Remand prisoner Ganjeti Veera Venkata Satyanarayana from Dowleswaram, Rajamundry Rural Mandal succumbed to dengue. Conspiracies have been plotted to subject Babu (Chandrababu) to suffer a similar fate."

Nara Lokesh said that AP CM Jagan Reddy should be held responsible if something happened to his father and former AP CM.

On September 9, Naidu was arrested for alleged misappropriation of funds from the Skill Development Corporation. The alleged scam reportedly led to the loss of over Rs 300 crore to the state government.

Earlier, a court adjourned the hearing on a petition filed by AP CID seeking the custody of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill Development Corporation scam on September 22.

On Friday, AP Assembly was adjourned for a brief period over continued protest by TDP demanding the release of Naidu. This was second day in a row wherein the Assembly proceedings were disrupted.
