JanaSena Party (JSP) chief and actor Pawan Kalyan extended his condolences on Tuesday to the victims whose houses were demolished as part of the road expansion in Ippatam Village in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district.

JanaSena Political Affairs Committee (PAC) chairman leader Nadella Manohar announced that the party Chief Pawan Kalyan has announced an aid of Rs 1 lakh to the victims. He said that the actor-politician has decided to support financially to the victims.

JSP leaders alleged that the YSRCP government helmed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy targetted the villagers and their lands.

On Sunday Kalyan met residents whose houses were allegedly demolished in a road-widening process. Police first banned Kalyan from reaching the region, but the actor ignored the officers and walked the rest of the way.

On Friday, officials undertook a demolition drive at Ippatam village. While houses on one side of the neighbourhood were being razed down, JSP leaders rushed to the high court to get a stay. The residents were given notice twice in the past six months mentioning that the front elevations of the houses that encroached on the roads will be taken down to provide space for the extension of roads and drain canal.

Taking to Twitter, JSP said that the government is engaging in vendetta politics as revenge for the locals offering space for its formation ceremony. Meanwhile, JanaSena is also planning to hold a formation day public meeting at the same village on March 14.
