Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday distributed Rs 1,00,55,000 to 2,011 qualified junior lawyers in the state under the fourth tranche of the YSR Law Nestham scheme. The Chief Minister transferred the money through the Direct Benefit Transfer mode into the bank accounts of the junior lawyers.


Speaking on the occasion, the CM stated that the YSR Law Nestham initiative provides junior lawyers with social security for their fundamental necessities in the early stages of their professions.


The YSR Law Nestham Scheme's primary goal is to provide financial assistance to junior advocates. Beneficiaries of the programme receive Rs 5,000 each month for three years or until they attain the age of 35, whichever is earlier. The stipend was extremely helpful to the attorneys during the COVID era.

CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Sees Off Outgoing Governor


CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy bid farewell to outgoing Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and his wife at the Gannavaram airport on Wednesday. Housing Minister Jogi Ramesh, AP Agri Mission Vice Chairman MVS Nagi Reddy, Chief Secretary Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy, Legislative Council Chairman K Moshen Raju, senior officials, and people's representatives accompanied the Chief Minister to the airport to see off the outgoing Governor and his wife.


The outgoing governor and his wife later flew to Raipur. On February 12, the Centre appointed Biswabhusan Harichandan as the governor of Chhattisgarh.


Biswabhusan Harichandan assumed office as governor on July 24, 2019. He had succeeded E.S.L. Narasimhan, who had been working as governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
