New Delhi: Industry insiders said that on Wednesday, Subi Suresh, a famous television personality, anchor, and film actress, died suddenly at a private hospital in Kerala’s Kochi. The actress was 41.
She had been experiencing health problems due to issues with her liver for some time.
At Aluva, in Rajagiri Hospital, Subi Suresh passed away. Her health problems had been going on for a year, and she was taken to the intensive care unit after acquiring jaundice.
“We tried plasma exchange, but it was not successful. That’s when we thought of a liver transplant. We had even found a matching donor. Her condition worsened while the paper work was being done,” Dr. Sunny P. Orathel, Medical Superintendent of Rajagiri Hospital, informed reporters.
Another famous actor, Tiny Tom, has revealed that preparations for a liver transplant procedure were already well underway when she passed away.
The demise of the star shocked both the Malayalam cinema industry and her devoted fan base. Several people took to social media shortly after the news broke to express their condolences.
Comedian Harisree Ashokan said, "I never knew at all that she was carrying this disease and am now told that things turned from bad to worse in just two weeks. She was a bubbly personality and was known for her spontaneity. A great personality has now gone.
The last time we saw the actress was in the children's show Kutty Pattalam. Moreover, Subi has appeared in the films Drama, Grihanathan, Thaksara Lahala, Kaaryasthan and Elsamma Enna Aankutty.
