Hyderabad: A dead body was found in a parked car near VMC School which comes in the limits of Patamata police station limits in Vijayawada on Tuesday. An unidentified body was discovered in an Indica car with the registration number AP37BA5456 parked on the side of the road, reported ABP Desam. On Tuesday, residents got suspicious about the odour coming from the vehicle and reported it to the police.


Patamata police rushed to the spot after receiving the information from locals at around 7 pm on Tuesday and found a dead body in the car. The clue team has gathered the evidence from the vehicle. A suspicious death case has been reported to the police.

"Based on the car registration number, we are trying to collect the details of the deceased. So far, there were no signs of injuries on his body. A post-mortem report will reveal the cause of death,” said Patamata Circle Inspector R Suresh Reddy, as quoted by The New Indian Express.


Locals, on the other hand, said that the car had been parked on the side of the road for over three days and criticised the police for failing to notice that the car had been parked on the main road for three days. This incident has caused a stir among the locals.
