Three primary school students were injured after a part of their classroom ceiling’s plaster fell on them in Archakunipalem Primary School in Padmanabham Mandal on Tuesday, news agency ANI reported. The injured students were admitted to Vizianagaram Government Hospital.
"Three students were injured after the ceiling plaster fell on students in the classroom of Archakunipalem Primary School in Padmanabham Mandal yesterday. The injured students were admitted to Vizianagaram Government Hospital," ANI tweeted.
Despite being recently renovated, the plaster of the school ceiling collapsed during class hours, leaving three minor girls injured.
"One of the students, T Vedasri, who suffered minor head injuries, was taken to the nearby Vizianagaram Government Hospital for treatment, and her condition is now stable," the Padmanabham police said, as quoted by The Hindu. The other two students suffered minor bruises, the police said.

According to a Times of India report, earlier, four students of a zilla parishad girls high school in Hasanparthy escaped with injuries after the roof of their classroom came crashing. The Class X students were seriously injured after part of the ceiling collapsed. The three classrooms in the school are in a dilapidated condition, and Class X students have been using them temporarily.
One student suffered a head injury, while two others had injuries to their shoulders. Another student suffered an injury to her neck. All of them were rushed to a local hospital. They were treated as outpatients and allowed to go home.
