Indian Coast Guard Rescues 11 Fishermen Off Andhra's Kakinada Coast After Boat Catches Fire
The Coast Guard officials were reportedly patrolling in the region when the fishermen alerted about the fire.
According to PTI, Indian Coast Guard rescued 11 fishermen along Kakinada coast, Andhra Pradesh. The boat in which the fishermen were sailing had caught fire following which they jumped into the sea.

The Coast Guard was patrolling at the area when the fishermen alerted about the fire. The rescued fishermen will return to the shore on Friday afternoon.
Based on preliminary investigation, the fire is suspected to be caused due to a cylinder explosion. The eleven fishermen had ventured into the sea along with essentials including food items and gas cylinder. The cylinder is suspected to have exploded mid-sea.
Fire Destroys Wooden Boxes Of Fishermen In Visakhapatnam
On Thursday night, a massive fire destroyed wooden boxes of fishermen in Jalari Peta area of Visakhapatnam district on Thursday. The fire which started in the area soon engulfed the wooden boxes.
Based on the information, the fire tenders rushed to the spot and started the operation to put out the fire.
There was no casualty or injury reported on the spot. However, the police have yet to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Last month, fire brokeout at a Visakhapatnam fishing harbor, resulting in the complete destruction of 35 boats. Fortunately, no fatalities or injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities registered a case, and fire officials successfully brought the blaze under control.
