Hong Kong (China) July 25 (ANI): China is now Russia's largest drug supplier, Chinascope reported, quoting Hong Kong-based newspaper Oriental Daily.

The information was attributed to Russia's anti-drug authorities.

Nearly 90 per cent of chemical-based drugs used in Russia, are mailed from China as "food" via the postal mail system.

This drug nexus seems dangerous, where some Russian authorities are hand-in-glove with the Chinese drug suppliers.

The report cites an example of a case, which the Russian Rostov Court is currently hearing.

Announced by the court on July 10, the case pertains to "some senior Cossack officials illegally working with Chinese drug dealers in Jilin Province, China."

Attributing to recent Russian reports, Chinascope states that most of the Chinese drugs are either concealed in plant oil bottles or are sneaked into half-baked food, like dumplings.

The Russian police have swung into action and stepped up the process of inspecting food packages that are being 'mailed' from China. (ANI)
