New Delhi [India], November 2 (ANI): Nine fishermen, four civilian prisoners and a minor child from Pakistan were repatriated on Thursday via the Attari (Indian side)- Wagah (Pakistan side) border, confirmed the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

MEA, in a statement, said that two Pakistani civilian prisoners were also released last month - on September 28.

"India attaches high priority to addressing all humanitarian issues, including early release and repatriation of Indian fishermen and prisoners in Pakistan's custody," the statement added.

The release of 370 Indian prisoners, including 363 fishermen, has been secured in 2017, so far.

On January 6, 2017, the Pakistan Government had released 219 Indian fishermen. (ANI)
