London [UK], December 19 (ANI): A man was arrested after he allegedly rammed his car through the security checkpoint of Royal Air Force base in Suffolk used by the U.S. Air Force.

The air base was locked down briefly after the incident.

Several shots were fired by the American service personnel after the incident, following which a man with cuts and bruises was taken into custody at the Royal Air Force base.

However, no one was reported to be injured in the incident, except for the man who was taken into custody, British media reported.

According to media reports, the lock-down has been lifted.
