New Delhi [India], Dec 23 (ANI): Four Pakistani prisoners, who have completed their sentence and whose nationality has been confirmed by the Pakistan authorities, have been repatriated to Pakistan via the Attari (Indian side)- Wagah (Pakistan side) border, confirmed the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
"India attaches high priority to addressing all humanitarian issues, including early release and repatriation of Indian fishermen and prisoners in Pakistan's custody," MEA, in a statement, said.
The release of 370 Indian prisoners, including 363 fishermen, has been secured in 2017, so far.
Meanwhile, in early November, thirteen Pakistani prisoners which included nine fishermen, four civilian prisoners and a minor child were repatriated.
Two Pakistani civilian prisoners were also released on September 28.(ANI)
