New Delhi [India], July 28 (ANI): Actress Dia Mirza looked stunning in 'Radha' avatar as she walked for designer Anju Modi's couture collection 'Sunehari Kothi,' on day four of the ongoing India Couture Week 2017.
The runway looked like picture perfect grasslands of Vrindavan.
The 35-year-old actress was dressed in a full-sleeved embroidered maroon velvet blouse and multicoloured lehenga with sheer off-white dupatta, who walked to the tunes of flute and live singing, echoing the essence of Lord Krishna's playful personality.
Dia also wore heavy polki jewellery with a maang-tika and bindi, completing her look with a dark red lip colour and minimal make-up.
Speaking about her experience, the actress told media, "I felt transported to another planet. It was a combination of everything, the resplendent garment, the beautiful make-up. I felt timeless, depicting Radha from a miniature painting. This is going to be one of the most iconic, most memorable moments in my career."
The models, both male and female, were draped in shades of white, cream, pinks with the pitambar (yellow) dupattas a colour worn by Krishna on ceremonial events.
Telling about her designs, the Anju Modi said that the whole range was inspired by Princess Vaishnavi Kumari of Kishangarh personally.
While talking to ANI, ace designer said, "Those detailed intricate paintings and the way artists, use to paint with very fine pen in small painting. One can image the kind of meditative attention being given to them and that's what inspired me, the passion to create something, what you believe in. and I think that's what it has come about."
The dhotis, churidaars with skirts, round-cut kurtas, lehengas and dresses dominated the collection, with men also sporting the half-turban-esque headgear. (ANI)
