Kabul [Afghanistan], Dec 5 (ANI): Beijing has offered tripartite talks between Afghanistan, Pakistan and China focussing mainly on peace, stability and economic cooperation.
China's Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan Deng Xijun met with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Monday and informed the latter about Beijing's wish to organise a trilateral summit between the three nations, reported Khaama Press, citing the President's office, ARG Palace as saying in a statement.
In addition to this, Xijung invited Ghani for the next round of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit.
Pakistan had become a full-fledged member of the SCO in June and its membership was strongly backed by China.
Xijung and Ghani also held talks on regional connectivity, economic and development projects, and issues related to regional peace and stability, the statement added. (ANI)
