Yangon [Myanmar], Feb 1 (ANI): A petrol bomb on Thursday morning was thrown into Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi's residential compound in Yangon.
Director-General of the State Counselor office U Zaw Htay has confirmed the incident.
"We were able to put out the fire in time and no casualties occurred in the incident," China's news agency Xinhua quoted the Director-General of the State Counselor office, as saying.
According to Zaw Htay, Aung San Suu Kyi wasn't at the residence at the time of the apparent attack. She was reportedly in Nay Pyi Taw.
The motive for the reported attack is not clear. (ANI)
