Month After 'Chillai Kalan' Ends, Snow Covers Kashmir Highlands

The higher regions of the Kashmir valley witnessed significant snowfall, while the lowlands were pounded by rain.

On February 19, several regions of Kashmir, including the Gulmarg ski resort, witnessed a fresh spell of snowfall.

Around three feet of snow had accumulated at Badugam Tulail and Gurez in the Bandipora area of north Kashmir.

On Sunday, the India Meteorological Department issued a three-day snowfall warning for J&K.

IMD projected snowfall, thunderstorms, and lightning in J&K, Ladakh, Gilgit, HP, Uttarakhand, Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad until February 22.
