Sonia Gandhi, Nadda, Deora — 10 Names Elected To Rajya Sabha Unopposed

Sonia Gandhi: The Congress leader was elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan.

Chunnilal Garasiya & Madan Rathore: Along with Sonia, BJP's Chunnilal Garasiya and Madan Rathore elected unopposed to the Upper House from the state.

J P Nadda: BJP president was declared elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha, from Gujarat, on Tuesday.

All six candidates from Maharashtra running for RS elections were also declared elected unopposed today. Ashok Chavan: The Congress turncoat, nominated by BJP, was one of those declared elected unopposed.

The BJP had fielded three nominees, including Chavan, former MLA Medha Kulkarni, and RSS worker Ajit Gopchade. Milind Deora: Nominated by Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde, Deora was also elected unopposed.

Praful Patel: Ajit Pawar-led NCP had fielded Praful Patel as its candidate.

Chandrakant Handore: Veteran Congress leader was the grand old party's candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections in Maharashtra.

Sagarika Ghose: In a surprising move, the Mamata-led TMC had nominated Delhi-based journalist as its candidate for Rajya Sabha.

The other TMC candidates were Sushmita Dev, Mohammad Nadimul Haque, and Matua leader Mamata Bala Thakur. Sushmita Dev: She was first sent to the Rajya Sabha in 2021 within a month of her switchover from the Congress.

Mamata Thakur: Thakur was earlier a Lok Sabha MP from Bongaon but lost the 2019 election to her nephew, the BJP’s Shantanu Thakur.

Mohammad Nadimul Haque: The Trinamool had renominated Haque, the owner of the popular Urdu newspaper Akbar-E-Mashriq.
