Summer Drinks: 3 Ayurvedic Drinks To Save Yourself From Getting Affected By Heatwaves

1. Buttermilk:

This ancient drink recipe remains an all-time favourite drink for the summer. In fact, this drink is tri-doshic in nature and is suitable for all body types.

Buttermilk with salt helps hydrate the body, as the salt helps hold moisture in our system. When you add cumin seeds to buttermilk, it improves digestive health and also cools the body down.

Buttermilk is a good probiotic drink that helps enhance the gut bacteria. The drink is cooling, hydrating, and ideal for summer. Follow your lunch with a glass of buttermilk to cool the system down.

2. CCF tea:

You can even make a herbal tea with a concoction of cumin seeds, fennel seeds, and coriander seeds. Cumin and fennel seeds help improve digestive health due to their carminative properties.

Fennel seeds are also cooling in nature, which is excellent during the summer. They help reduce heat-related discomfort. Coriander seeds also have cooling properties, which can help reduce body heat.

You can soak all three seeds overnight in a glass of water, strain, and drink the next morning on an empty stomach.

3. Aam Panna:

This is a bonus recipe that is ideal for the summer. It is a combination of raw mango, cumin, black salt, mint, and spices. It has a cooling effect on the body and helps prevent heat stroke.

Salt helps hold moisture in the body and thus keeps us hydrated, while mint and cumin have a cooling effect on our digestive health. You can consume this anytime during the day.
