UP deputy CM Keshav Prasad Morya has said that low voters turnout may affect the results in UP nad Bihar. BJP leading in Gorakhpur by 1,600 votes. Status after first round: BJP- 15577, SP- 13911. Counting for fourth round is now over but results of last three rounds not yet revealed.
In Uttar Pradesh, the by-elections were held for the Gorakhpur and Phulpur Lok Sabha constituencies, on March 11.
A 47.45 percent of voter turnout was recorded in Gorakhpur constituency, while Phulpur witnessed a polling percentage of 37.39 percent in the election.
