Mirabai Chanu's father, Saikhom Kriti Meeti and mother, Tombi Lima, said that they struggled a lot in the beginning to fulfill their daughter's dreams. Mirabai, in her last conversation, told her mother that she was not getting time to talk to her family because of the intense preparations there in Japan. However, they kept on chatting through WhatsApp till last night.
