Winter rains have finally made an appearance over the northwestern plains. During the last 24 hours, neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana have recorded fairly widespread light to moderate rain and thundershowers.
Ambala has recorded 13 mm of rain in span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Karnal 8 mm, Patiala 7 mm, Chandigarh 2 mm, Pathankot 2 mm, Kurukshetra 2 mm, Sirsa 1.4 mm, and Bhatinda 1 mm.
