Vikram Kothari hails from Gujarat but lives in Kanpur. Vikram's father was Pan Parag's owner. After the death of his father, Vikram Kothari developed Rotomac and achieved huge success. In 1995, Rotomac was the biggest brand which gave advertisements. It was because of the amazing export of pens that former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee honoured him.
Rotomac Scam is worth Rs 37000000000, Vikram Kothari took loan and did not return
Vikram Kothari took loan worth Rs 2919 crore and when the interest is added in it, it becomes Rs 3695 crore. This amount is due but Vikram has not returned it. This is why this case is a scam somewhat similar to what Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi did.
He took loans from Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Overseas Bank, Union Bank of India, Allahabad Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce
